Ian McDonald was a founder member of both King Crimson and Foreigner and the writer, with Peter Sinfield, of the seminal "In The Court of The Crimson King". He's seen at his chameleon best on this self-produced debut solo outing, fronting a lineup that includes Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), Lou Gramm (Foreigner), John Waite (The Babys), Peter Frampton, Steve Hackett, John Wetton (King Crimson/UK/Asia), Mike Giles (King Crimson) and Pete Sinfield (King Crimson). On the blockbuster closing track "Let There Be Light" that magic McDonald/Sinfield combination, regarded by many as the real spirit behind the original King Crimson, is as potent as ever and shows that neither have lost their dramatic touch. This first solo album will be eagerly sought by followers of both those bands and aficionados of the long lost seventies classic "McDonald & Giles" album.
